A golf course became a lurid potential crime scene Friday night after police swooped down on it and cordoned off a nearby road.
Neighbors described seeing policemen with torches on the Brackenwood golf course at nightfall, and by midnight at least 10 police vehicles were on the scene.
A tent had been erected in the field, with a forensic team busy at work and vehicles going to and from nearby Bracken Lane.
Multiple laces were in place, even at smaller entrances to the golf course.
Merseyside Police have been contacted for comment, but at the time of writing it is unclear what the police are investigating.
