Denmark has been removed from the British government’s list of travel brokers.
Travelers arriving in the UK from Denmark after 4am on Friday must self-isolate for 14 days.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said: ‘I understand that this will be of concern to both people currently in Denmark and the general public in the UK, so we have moved quickly to protect our country and prevent the spread of the virus to the UK. .
Danish health authorities have reported widespread outbreaks of coronavirus in mink farms, with a variant strain of the virus spreading to some local communities. Therefore, the medical director recommended that, as a precaution, everyone returning from Denmark self-isolate for 14 days.
“People currently in Denmark can finish their trip, follow local rules and refer to the travel advice pages of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office on gov.uk for more information.”
