Two pedestrians die after being hit by a car when police arrest a 32-year-old man

A man was arrested after two pedestrians were struck and killed by a car.

Police said there was a collision involving a car and two pedestrians outside Bedford Sixth Form, on Bromham Road, around 12:22 p.m. Saturday.

Emergency services arrived and two men, both 60 years old, were pronounced dead at the scene. While a formal identification has not yet been carried out, his closest relatives have been informed, ” a police statement said.

“A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in police custody.”
