Twitter has suffered an outage in many countries around the world, leaving millions of users unable to post on its platform.
The entire social media site was idle for several minutes and although it was quickly brought back online, users were unable to tweet or retweet anything for more than an hour.

The “notifications” and “mentions” feeds were also not available.
Users in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States reported problems.
Twitter’s official status page said “there was no evidence of this outage [was] caused by a security breach or attack. We are currently investigating internal root causes. “

“We know that people have trouble tweeting and using Twitter,” he said. “We are working to solve this problem as quickly as possible.
“We will share more when we get it and tweet from @TwitterSupport when we can. Stay tuned.”
The outage came just a day after Twitter took an unprecedented step to limit the spread of a controversial New York Post article criticizing US presidential candidate Joe Biden, sparking outrage among conservatives and a debate about how the Social media platforms should tackle misinformation at the helm. -Until the US elections.
Twitter blocked users from posting links to the unconfirmed report’s story or photos. People who attempted to share the story on the platform were shown a notice saying, “We are unable to complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as potentially harmful.”
