The Premier League has outlined television hours for streaming games for the remainder of the season, according to reports.
Recent suggestions in the national media had indicated that there could be a “soccer festival” with each team perhaps playing every few days.
But the Daily Mail now claims that the league plans to “restart the season with an excellent weekend of televised games.”
And that could be the template that is followed for the rest of the campaign.

The Mail says television companies were told to prepare for a possible restart in mid-to-late June.
One game can be shown on Friday night, followed by four more games on Saturday, another four on Sunday, and one on Monday night.
The article states that Sky will show five games per weekend, including the clash on Friday.
BT Sport will show another one with the remaining five that will probably be done for free, either on “Youtube or through the red button”.
Start times are believed to be staggered throughout the weekend.
The Mail’s story comes when reports elsewhere suggest that June 19 may now be a possible restart date for the top flight.
That update follows yesterday’s meetings between the Premier League and club staff, including managers and players, where security concerns were highlighted amid the coronavirus outbreak.
A restart of June 19, along with a round of matches each weekend, could see the end of the 2019/20 period in mid-August.
Earlier this week, the government revealed a closing roadmap that could see the return of professional sports behind closed doors starting June 1, if deemed safe to do so.
