Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has been mocked for his attempt to explain why he was unable to produce some documents he had promised relating to Joe Biden.
He said the only copy of the documents had been lost, which he said added to the claims about Biden’s son Hunter.
In a segment delivered to the camera, Carlson said:
On Monday we received from a source a collection of confidential documents relating to the Biden family. We believe those documents are authentic, they are real and damning … We texted a producer in New York and asked him to send those documents to us in Los Angeles … He sent those documents overnight to California with a big national trucking company brand … But the Biden documents never made it to Los Angeles. On Tuesday morning we received news from the shipping company that our package had been opened and the contents were missing, the documents were missing.
He went on to say about the delivery company, which he did not name:
They searched the plane and the trucks carrying it, stopped by the office in New York where our producer left that package, combed through its entire cavernous sorting facility. They used images of what we had submitted so search engines knew what to look for. They went much further. But they found nothing, those documents have disappeared. As of tonight, the company has no idea, not even working theory, about what happened to this trove of materials, documents that are directly relevant to the presidential campaign.
Carlson’s show has been one of the main conduits for conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden, attempting to expand the narrative about his dealings in Ukraine and China and punishing other media outlets for not paying enough attention to claims made recently in the New York Post.
Carson’s story about the lost documents made little ice on social media:
BREAK: The documents that Tucker Carlson never had and that were supposed to ruin the election were so important that they were sent via DHL and now cannot be found despite copiers, iPhone cameras and security cameras. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/9yKkDAUh2v
