One of the weirdest White House traditions, the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Pardon
Pennsylvania has certified its election results, confirming that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have won the state. The news comes when two records are broken: no other presidential candidacy has obtained more than 80 million votes; and the Dow Jones Industrial Average has crossed the 30,000 level for the first time with the news that the transition to a Biden administration may continue.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump says he will soon present evidence of widespread voter fraud and other wrongdoing in “great detail” in a “large lawsuit.” His tweet announcing the plan did not explain why he had not presented evidence of the many lawsuits his team has advanced in recent weeks.
The president continued his disinformation campaign Tuesday by promoting the actor Randy Quaid’s demands for a full replay of the vote, even though his administration finally began the official transition process just a day earlier.
On an early morning retweet spree, Trump also promoted Quaid’s statement that “FOX IS DEAD FOR ME!” following a segment last night by right-wing commentator Laura Ingraham, in which long-serving host Fox News admitted that Biden would be the next president.
Meanwhile, the president-elect is preparing to formally unveil his cabinet members at an event this afternoon. The list includes Avril Haines as director of national intelligence, the first woman to hold that position, and Antony Blinken as secretary of state.
Nevada Supreme Court makes Biden’s victory official
The Nevada Supreme Court made Joe Biden’s victory in the state official on Tuesday, passing the state’s final scrutiny of the November 3 election.
Unanimous action by the seven non-partisan justices sends Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak results that will deliver six electoral votes from the battlefield state of the western United States to Biden.

A very different tone observed at the Biden cabinet event
The stark contrast to similar events in the Trump presidency did not go unnoticed.
“Along with experience and competence, there was humility and empathy on that stage. They have been missing in America for too long, “said former Sen. Claire McCaskill.

Masks for forgiveness from Turkey
Unlike many other White House events, Turkey’s reprieve appears to require guests to wear masks and separate seating.
The corn and turkey ear do not appear to be masked.
The president began his remarks by congratulating everyone on the Dow Jones breaking the 30,000 level for the first time.

Biden accuses Trump of ‘absolute cruelty’ at the border
Joe Biden introduced several Cabinet-level nominees when he declared that “America is back … at the head of the table” on global affairs. He envisioned a foreign policy that will seek to restore the United States’ relations with other countries and move away from the hard-line policies of the Trump administration.
That includes what he called “years of … outright cruelty at DHS,” an apparent reference to Mr. Trump’s immigration policies as one of separating migrant families at the US-Mexico border.
