A man died in hospital after a car-pedestrian collision in Scunthorpe on Sunday.
The incident, which occurred shortly before 5 p.m., caused police to shut down Old Brumby Street and a section of Queensway for several hours and the victim, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries. mortals.

A police spokesperson said: “Following our appeal published yesterday, Monday, November 16, a pedestrian who was hit by a car on the A18 Queensway, Scunthorpe, shortly before 5 pm on Sunday, November 15, has sadly passed away at cause of his injuries.

The victim is believed to have been near the junction with Old Brumby Street where he was hit by an orange BMW.
Accident investigators arrived shortly after, and the road was closed from the A159 Ashby Road junction for several hours while they worked at the scene.
