Tottenham player ratings: Dele, Son and Bale score, Lucas and Hart fight but Spurs score

[ad_1]

Joe hart

He could only see an early shot off a post before stopping a Renner effort. He made a great save from the same player at the half hour mark, running off. However, he will feel like he could have done better with Michorl’s goal in the first half from a distance and certainly the second that it bounced off his wrist. Not much could be done with Karamoko’s late goal. What appeared to be a good screen went a bit wrong. 4

Matt doherty

He slipped and appeared to be injured in preparation for LASK’s first-half goal, but recovered to continue. His pass was poor from the right, giving the ball several times. It’s not the performance to push Aurier for a starting spot in the Premier League. 5

Davinson Sanchez

He made a crucial last block in front of goal in five minutes. He also had some sloppy moments, including stepping out to let Eggestein stay behind to score. He played the long ball to ward Bergwijn away and earn the late penalty, but then stood in front of Karamoko to give him room to score with a fine curly shot. 4

Japhet Tanganga

He made a major block early in the second half and fared better than his fellow central defender on the night. 6

Ben davies

He didn’t go far on the left, but he did better than Doherty on the other side. 6

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

For the full 94 minutes, which would not have been Mourinho’s original intention. I worked hard to get on and off the field. 6

Tanguy ndombele

He forced the Spurs penalty when his shot struck a hand in the LASK area. He tried to make things happen and picked a perfect ball in Son’s way to score the Spurs second goal. He left after 65 minutes with Sunday in mind and his start streak. 7

Young Lo Celso

The Argentine’s passing radar was off and he seemed the weakest of the midfield trio that everyone wanted to see together. No favors were done trying to get back to the starting lineup. 4

Lucas Moura

He really needed to have an impact to force his way into Mourinho’s thinking for Sunday, but he had very little impact on the game and his passing was poor before being replaced. 3

Son Heung-min

When the Spurs finally started serving him on the court, he did his job, running clean and finishing clinically before time. He could have had his second if Bale hadn’t played a square ball in front of the goal behind him. 7

Gareth Bale

He was turned off defensively in the half hour, leading to a great LASK opportunity. He looked rusty again, but hid the penalty late in the first half with poise. He broke up with Son in the second half, but somehow, albeit selflessly, he played a square ball behind the South Korean in front of goal. It still doesn’t look sharp enough. 5

Subs

Moussa Sissoko

He came out to give midfield some legs and he did it because they looked better in transitions. 6

Steven Bergwijn

He made some good breaks and won the late penalty for Alli to shoot home. 6

Eric Dier

He replaced Lo Celso to form a back three, but the Spurs didn’t look any more solid at the back. 5

Dele there

He confidently concealed his penalty and tried to make things happen late. 6

Serge aurier

He came in to provide extra protection on the right, but it didn’t change the game much. 5
