Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks described how tired and sore he felt during his battle with COVID-19 alongside his second wife Rita Wilson at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland for three days.

The 63-year-old father of four “had some body aches and was very fatigued” to the point that he “cut out” 12 minutes in a 30-minute basic workout.

“I just tried stretching and doing basic exercises on the floor and I couldn’t even get halfway there,” Tom reminded The National Defense radio show.

When a nurse checked Hanks inside his isolated room with compressed air, ‘He looked at me through his glasses as if he was talking to the dumbest human being. And she said, “You have COVID-19.”
