Three stabbed and six in hospital after ‘violent incident’ in Cardiff city center

Six people are in hospital, including three with stab wounds after a “violent incident” in Cardiff city center.

Parts of Queen Street and Newport Road were cordoned off by a large police presence Saturday night.

Officers received “multiple” reports of a violent incident around 9:50 p.m., South Wales Police said.

Since then, six people have been brought or presented themselves to the University Hospital of Wales.

One person is said to be in serious condition with head injuries, and three others are believed to have sustained stab wounds.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident and are currently in custody in Cardiff Bay.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or events before or after it is urged to contact the police via 101, citing the fact 2000424668.
