A busy Coventry street remains on tape this morning, after three men were shot last night.
Emergency services cordoned off a section of Far Gosford Street last night shortly after 10 p.m., in response to the incident (Thursday, September 17).
Since then it has been confirmed that a shooting took place in which two men were seriously injured and the incident was described by police as “outrageous violence”.

A third man was reported to have more minor injuries, although all three were taken to hospital for treatment.
This morning West Midlands Police said they believe the attacker left in a dark colored vehicle and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
Eyewitnesses at the scene last night reported seeing marked police cars blocking a series of side roads leading to Far Gosford Street, including Vecqueray Street, on the edge of the city center.
Groups of youths are believed to have swarmed in the area around 11 p.m. following the incident.
This morning (Friday, September 18), a cordon is maintained while forensic examinations are carried out.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are investigating after three men were shot on Far Gosford Street around 10:15 pm yesterday (Thursday).”
“Three men have been taken to hospital, two for treatment for serious injuries and a third for minor injuries.
“The offender is believed to have left in a dark colored vehicle and we are asking anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible.
“We closed the road while forensic examining the scene.
“Did you see anything? Do you have a dash cam or cell phone footage of what happened? We want to hear from you.”
Coventry Police Superintendent Paul Minor said: “We will intensify patrols in the area over the next few days.
“This was scandalous violence on the streets of the city center and we are doing everything possible to bring those responsible to justice.”
