Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder after a man’s body was found in a Wavertree home.
Emergency services were called to a home on Bishopgate Street around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, where the body of a 57-year-old man was found.
Two homeless men aged 49 and 50 and a 44-year-old woman from Wavertree were arrested on suspicion of murder.
All three have been arrested and will be questioned by the police.
The relatives of the victim have been informed and have the support of specially trained agents.
In a statement, a Merseyside police spokesman said: “We have arrested three people today (Wednesday 24 March) on suspicion of murder in Wavertree.

The scene has been cordoned off throughout the day and officers remained at the scene tonight while forensic investigations are conducted.
Detective Inspector Paul Jones said: “An investigation is ongoing after this tragic incident and we are eager to speak with anyone who has information that may assist us in our investigations.
