Three accused of mother’s death after fire killed her four children

Three people have been charged in the death of a woman who died 20 months after her four children died in a house fire.

Michelle Pearson, 37, was at her home on Jackson Street in Walkden, Greater Manchester, when gasoline bombs were thrown at the property in December 2017.

Her children Demi 15, Brandon, eight, Lacie, seven and Lia died in the fire and she was taken to the hospital with 75% burns all over her body.

He was in a coma for several months and died from his injuries 20 months later, on August 25 of last year.

Final preparations are underway for the joint funeral of four children killed in a gasoline bomb attack on their home. Her mother Sandra Lever said at the time: ‘Sadly last night, after 20 months of hard fighting, our beautiful Michelle gained her wings and went to join her babies.’

Sandra had previously told her that Michelle had to be reminded that her children had died for several weeks before she could remember.

Michelle had been informed of their deaths after waking up from a five-month coma after the fire.

Zak Bolland, 26, and David Worrall, 28, have been charged with the murder of Mrs. Pearson, while Courtney Brierley, 23, is charged with manslaughter.

The three suspects will appear before the Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 15 September.
