After a dance with EastEnders star Maisie Smith, actress Caroline Quentin came out of the BBC competition series.
Quentin and his professional dance partner Johannes Radebe were named as the couple that had the fewest combined judge scores and spectator votes along with Smith and Gorka Márquez.
After acting again, judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Smith.
Chief Judge Shirley Ballas did not have to cast her vote, but said she would also have saved the 19-year-old.
When asked about his time on the show, Quentin told the show’s co-host Tess Daly, “I have had the honor and privilege of working with some of the best dancers this country has ever known. I mean, I really do. I think they are absolutely fantastic. “
Quentin’s departure, which was pre-recorded on Saturday night (November 21), was leaked online before the show.
Twitter users were particularly surprised by this pair of the latter two, with one viewer writing, “Wow, I didn’t expect the latter two.”
Another angry fan added, “Oh for the love of God, you have got to be kidding me!”
Strictly continues next Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
