Police have established a checkpoint to reject and fine drivers who are violating the closing rules for visiting Brighton today.

Motorists are being stopped by officers at the end of the A23 in Patcham to stop boring families milling about on the beach to enjoy the warm weather this weekend, reports Argus.

Officers from the Surrey and Sussex Highway Watch Unit have already pulled over and fined cars of people trying to sneak into town before noon.

Police had issued two fines and turned 19 cars around after stopping around 65 before 11 a.m.

The government has been accused of mixed messages before the bank holiday.

An automobile is alleged to have traveled more than 100 miles from Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.

Residents cheered and expressed their support for the police that keep visitors out of town over the holiday weekend.

A Sussex Police Spokesperson: “Not a Dedicated Coronavirus stop control, but as part of routine control, we are asking people why they are here, where they are going and if they do not have a purpose. ”

He added that the stop-check is expected to last all day.

Nancy Platts, leader of the Brighton and Hove City Council, reiterated the message “Visitors must stay away” as the nation enjoys a mini heat wave this weekend.

Yesterday, parts of Hove Beach were busy, but people generally observed social distancing rules by staying at least two meters away.

Mrs. Platts said: “We do not want to undo the work that we have already done.

“While we have seen the curve for people who are hospitalized with the virus go down, we would not like to see it go up again.”

Drivers ignore the closing rules to enjoy the beach.

“We still need people to stay away if they don’t live here, and if you live here, go out locally.”

On Thursday, the government formally extended the blockade for an additional three weeks.

The extension arrives as prime minister Boris Johnson will reveal his plans on how the nation will get out of the running of the bulls.

Johnson’s “road map”, which aims to get the country back to normal, is phased in over the next six months, but said some steps will happen the next day “if possible.”

1. From Monday

Unlimited exercise allowed. Employees should be encouraged to return to workplaces that have been open throughout the closure if it is safe. Garden centers may reopen while there may be more guidance on the use of outdoor spaces, including outdoor markets, streets, and cemeteries.

2. End of May / beginning of June

Gradual return of primary schools in England, beginning in year 6. Households could be allowed to expand the “social bubble” to meet another group of family or friends.

3. June (end)

Gradual return from secondary schools in England before summer break. They could afford small-team sports, such as futsal, along with outdoor gatherings of fewer than 30 people. Cafes with outdoor seating may reopen, while outdoor sports such as golf, tennis, and fishing may resume. Possible return from Premier League matches, although behind closed doors.

4. End of August / beginning of September

Bars, bars, and restaurants could be gradually reopened, although customers would be expected to follow strict rules of social distancing.

5. October

Possible return of football fans to games. Gyms could reopen. But any further lifting of the restrictions on returning to normal life would be in doubt amid fears of a second wave of coronavirus or a seasonal flu outbreak.

While the gyms are not expected to open until at least October, the British will now be able to exercise as much as they want outdoors starting Monday.

Employees of companies that have been open throughout the closure will be able to return to their workplaces, provided it is safe.

Garden centers could also reopen, while restrictions around open-air markets and main streets could be eased, allowing merchants to resume with government guidance.

They will also issue guidance on visiting funeral burials and cemeteries.

The government’s 50-page blueprint to ease the coronavirus blockade will be implemented in five phased steps between Monday and October.
