The Great Conjunction 2020 – How to see Jupiter and Saturn ‘almost touching’ on the winter solstice plus Ursid meteor shower

WHAT DOES THE GREAT CONJUNCTION MEAN?

As if 2020 wasn’t bad enough, some conspiracy theorists believe that the meeting of Saturn and Jupiter could spell the end of the world.

This is due to some interpretations of the Mayan calendar.

According to the Daily Express, Doomsday Predictor Pastor Paul Begley said: “It will be the closest Jupiter and Saturn have been since 1623 and it won’t even be that close again in another 500 years.”

“So this is very rare and it will be on the winter solstice. It will be on December 21, 2020.

“The Mayans are now reorganizing themselves and they say that this could certainly be the end of the world as we know it.”

Of course, there is no hard evidence to suggest that this is correct.

According to Astrology.com, some astrologers believe that the proximity of Jupiter and Saturn leads to the death of old ways and the beginning of new growth.

What we do know for sure is that some stargazers around the globe will be enjoying an interesting visual treat next week.
