The death toll in UK coronavirus hospitals has risen by 55.
England reported 47 new deaths on Friday, Scotland had four, Wales three and Northern Ireland one.
By comparison, the number of deaths announced a week ago on September 25 was 36, while 18 were reported on September 18 and nine on September 11.
The lowest number of deaths on a Friday since the shutdown was five on Aug. 21.
The highest figure for a Friday was 953 on April 10, when the UK was at the peak of its pandemic.

There were 44 deaths in England yesterday, there were three Covid-19 related deaths in Scotland, six in Wales and two in Northern Ireland.
Today Scotland has recorded four deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Nicola Sturgeon said.
The deaths, of patients who tested positive for the virus for the first time in the previous 28 days, take the price of this measure to 2,526.
Speaking at the Scottish government’s coronavirus briefing, the prime minister said that 775 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Scotland in the last 24 hours.
In England, 19 of the deaths occurred in the North West and ten in the North East and Yorkshire.
London and the Midlands had six, the South four, the East two, and the Southwest zero.
All of those who died were 40 or older.
Of these patients, 19 were in intensive care, four more than the day before.
