etectives have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death in a street fight in Westminster.
Police were called to reports of a group of young men fighting on Fernhead Road at 10pm last night.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 19-year-old teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their relatives have been informed and have the support of specialist agents. Formal identification awaits.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and remains in custody at a central London police station.
It comes when murder investigations began after the deaths of two women over the weekend in the capital.
The 39-year-old woman was discovered by police called out of concerns for the well-being of the occupants of a home on Henwick Road.
