A tea-time shooting in front of a row of houses sparked a large police scene after neighbors heard a “loud bang.”
Emergency services were called to Hale Road, in Walton, around 5:30 pm today after they were shot in the street.
When police arrived, a cordon was placed in the area and officers began searching for the source of the noise.
A short time later, evidence was found that a gun had been fired on the street and more closures were set.
Officers are still in the area and several roads have been plugged.
Matrix officers and forensics are now on site and are expected to remain there for most of the night.
