A 38-year-old man was released on bail today after the death of a woman at Prescot.
Police were called to Greenall Court, on Greenall Road in Prescot, at around 3.30 am Saturday after what police described as a “domestic incident”.
A woman in her 40s was found on the scene with fatal injuries after falling out of a window.
A 38-year-old man who was arrested on the spot on suspicion of murder was released on bail pending further investigation.
Detective Inspector Sue Hinds said, “At this time, we are still analyzing the full circumstances that lead this woman to tragically lose her life.”
“Therefore, we are appealing to anyone who has witnessed the incident or is in the area, whether walking or driving specifically between 2.30 and 3.30 in the morning, and believes that they have information that may help or that You have dashcam images that might be relevant, please introduce yourself.
“It is crucial that we investigate thoroughly and take all information into account to ensure that the outcome of this investigation is accurate.”
The tributes came after the tragic incident, and many left messages of condolence on social media.
Sandra Steele wrote: “What sad news, heartbroken for your entire family. Thinking of all of you.”
Davies Marie wrote: “RIP girl, reunited with her son x so sad x”.
Another woman also wrote on the ECHO Facebook page to say that the woman who died was her sister-in-law and that she was “loving”.
Nadine Henderson wrote: “RIP my friend, I will never forget you xx”
