A young woman who bragged about partying despite testing positive for coronavirus has sparked an investigation at a US university.
Texas Tech University is investigating complaints about a student who posted a video of herself partying despite apparently having Covid-19.
The video circulating on social media shows an unidentified young woman recording herself bragging that she has the virus, which is ravaging the United States.
In the clip full of expletives, he can be heard saying, “Yes, I have Covid, everyone has it.”

The University Dean of Students tweeted this week: “We have received a report and are aware of a video related to COVID. The matter is being addressed by the Office of the Dean of Students and Student Conduct.”
In the outrageous footage, she shoots in selfie mode as she heads for the camera in what appears to be a boisterous party.
The woman says: “Everybody says ‘don’t you have Covid? Don’t you literally have Covid?’
“Yes, I have Covid. The whole world has Covid.”

He then rotates the camera that appears to show the party he is attending as he explores a large outdoor area full of young people.
She continues: “All these people have Covid. So stop getting my tip, stop getting my tip. Like I’m having a good time.”
The identity of the young woman and whether she attends Texas Tech University as a student has not been confirmed, and it is unclear if she had a confirmed case of Covid-19.
Twitter user Taylor Smith posted a copy of the clip online, writing: “What’s Happening at Texas Tech.
“Side note, I don’t know this girl, but she was brave enough to post this for others to see! If you’re selfish like that without regard for the safety of others, fuck you!”
Writing from your account @tayylorcsmith, claimed that he had reported the video to the university sorority and the dean of students.

Some saw no problem with the woman who filmed the clip’s actions, likening it to a ‘chicken pox party’, saying that if everyone in attendance had the virus, they didn’t risk spreading it to each other.
Many were disgusted by the claims of the woman in the images, saying that she was spreading the coronavirus with impunity by mixing in public spaces when she should be in isolation.
One Twitter user wrote: “Although I think they should all be quarantined separately, I don’t understand why they can’t be together. Does everyone have Covid? This is no different than a chicken pox party … They are foolishly together under their own risk “.
But another replied: “Maybe because obviously not everyone lives together and they will be walking home and coming into contact with other people and risking the lives of anyone who passes …”
The United States is a global epicenter for coronavirus, with its death toll approaching the grim landmark of 190,000.
Just a few weeks ago, Texas became the third state in the US to exceed 600,000 coronavirus cases.
There are signs that the virus is declining slightly in the states this week, as its daily count of new infections fell below 40,000 for the first time since June.
The drop is because infections are beginning to decline in the most populous states, including Texas and California, which saw large summer surges.
According to a tally by the Reuters news agency, the US has recorded more than 6.3 million confirmed cases of the disease, the highest in the world.
The forecast from the US Centers for Disease Control warns that the death toll across the country is likely to exceed 200,000 by the end of September.
A metric from the University of Washington predicted last week that deaths would reach 400,000 by the end of the year.
