Stoke-on-Trent ‘murder’ investigation: police name 29-year-old woman, found dead with stab wounds

Police have named a woman who was stabbed to death on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to Leigh Street, Burslem, around 4.45pm on Friday after it was reported that a woman had been seriously injured.

Today, the police have named the victim as Kimberley Deakin, 29, of Burslem.

A post-mortem examination by the Home Office found that Kimberley’s cause of death was stab wounds.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Your family is being supported by specially trained officers at this time and we would like to urge people to respect their privacy.”

– A 39-year-old man from Broadstone, Dorset, has been charged with murder and will appear before the North Staffordshire Justice Center on Monday morning (November 9).
