A man from Liverpool captured the amazing Starlink satellites over the city last night.

Many people were confused on Sunday night when they saw the mysterious lights in the night sky.

But the lights weren’t UFOs or stars, they were the latest batch of Starlink satellites launched by businessman Elon Musk’s company, SpaceX.

Musk’s company has been launching the satellites since last May and with the company’s approval to launch 12,000 satellites, the ‘train’ of lights could become a relatively common sight in the skies over Britain.

In the impressive video you can see the satellites running across the night sky in formation, blinking.

@ BTSMarcus1 shared the video on Twitter by subtitling it: “Elon Musk StarLink Over My Back Garden #Starlink

And according to findastarlink.com, Starlink satellites will fly over the UK until April 24, so there is a good chance you will see them for yourself.

They are expected to be in the night sky over Merseyside between 9.30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday.

On Sunday, many people in Merseyside turned to social media to comment on the rare sight.

Kelly McCarthy said, “We were watching this and we were shocked!”

Barry Harper said: “Yes, yes last night I saw 24 in a straight row at the same distance and the same incredible speed.”

Paul said: “I don’t care if it was a meteor shower or a row of satellites going on then, whatever it is, I thought it was amazing and I had to be in the stars for a long time.”

Jon Golding said: “Seeing the star link satellites was amazing. We will definitely be going out again tomorrow, you should see them in Liverpool between 9.55pm and 10pm, then you will see a lot of loads.”

The project’s mission, which continues to develop, is to provide remote locations around the world with low-emission Internet.

The US Federal Communications Commission. USA It has granted the company permission to fly 12,000 satellites as part of the project, and this number could increase to 30,000.

You can also track satellites using the Starlink app.

The Starlink app automatically calculates when SpaceX Starlink satellites are expected to be visible above their current location.

When you open the app, click on a satellite number from the list provided and select your current location to reveal the visible times.

The results will display the sighting start and end time, duration, tracking instructions, elevation coordinates, and a visibility warning if the satellites will be difficult to see.

There is also the option to configure ‘remember me’ alerts so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch Starlink.
