The pressure has mounted on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta following the home loss to Burnley.
Following three defeats in three Premier League games following their 2-0 defeat in the North London Derby last weekend, the Gunners entered the game against the Clarets in hopes of avoiding a fourth consecutive loss at home in the competition.
But any hope of ending that streak was over in the second half.
First, Granit Xhaka was sent off shortly before the hour for violent behavior and then captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored what turned out to be the only goal of the match.

Except it was on the wrong side for Arsenal.
Seven defeats in the first 12 Premier League games have left the Gunners five points above the relegation zone, not where the club would have expected to be at this stage of the season.
As a result, Arteta is now the bookmaker’s favorite to be the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season.
At 3pm on Sunday, the Spaniard was on 8/1 to lose his job at Emirates Stadium, and following Burnley’s loss, those odds are down.
This will be music to the ears of some Arsenal fans who took to social media after the game and called for Arteta to be fired.
Like a year ago when Unai Emery was fired, any decision to relieve Arteta of his duties would be made by the club’s board and owner Stan Kroenke.
That said, Arteta has already rendered his verdict on the possibility of being fired.
Speaking after the 2-1 home loss to the Wolves a fortnight ago, the Gunners coach said he is well aware that he will one day leave the club given the nature of his job.

“It’s something that the day I decided to be a coach I know that one day I will be fired or I will leave the football club,” Arteta told reporters. “I don’t know if it will be the day after signing my contract, in a month, in a year or in six months, so I never worry about that.
“My only concern is getting the best out of the players, giving the best possible service to the club and getting better and better.”
“I know that in this profession one day I will be fired or I will leave, but I do not know when it will happen.”
