Snow falls in Kent after Met Office issues a weather warning

Snow has fallen on Kent this morning, leaving parts of the county looking particularly festive.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather advisory, warning motorists to be extra careful on the roads of Kent.

The alert is in effect until 10 a.m. M. And meteorologists say the downpours are likely to cause travel disruptions and flooding.

The advisory covers most of North and West Kent, including Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and Tunbridge Wells.

Delighted residents rushed to snap a photo of the snow that had fallen in their area.

Some places have just received a light cleaning, but others have been affected by more serious falls.

Flood alerts have also been issued for parts of the county following heavy rains yesterday and overnight.
