Shocking footage has emerged showing a pickup truck hitting a woman after crashing into a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters in Los Angeles.
The chaos developed after dark Thursday on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where protesters were attempting to march into an LAPD substation to protest Breonna Taylor’s grand jury verdict.
Footage from the ground, as well as a KTLA-TV news helicopter, shows a black pickup truck swooping into the crowd, striking a woman and throwing her onto the pavement.

As protesters begin to mill around the van, trying to open the driver’s side door, the van accelerates, seeming to pass over the injured protester and narrowly missing a street doctor who rushed to treat her.
An LAPD helicopter that was following the protest was able to follow the truck as it accelerated, directing the ground units that stopped the driver.
The truck driver was seen to have been taken into police custody, but his name has not been released and information on the charges was not immediately available.
The woman was taken to a hospital and her condition was unclear Thursday night.

A second incident at the Hollywood protest was also caught on camera by the KTLA news helicopter, in which a white Prius got caught in the crowd and sped off.
A truck escorting the protesters chased the Prius and cut it off, and the protesters broke into the car and attempted to take the keys.
However, the Prius managed to escape. He was later detained by the police, but the driver was not arrested or charged.
