Shocking footage has revealed the moment when a gang robbed a family at gunpoint by breaking through a house and threatening a couple and their newborn baby.
The violent mob was armed and dressed all in black when they broke into the Old Swan home before escaping with potentially lucrative American Bulldog puppies.
Now a video has emerged that appears to capture the criminals in the act and shows how they entered to attack the young family.
Up to five men can be seen in the backyard, one of whom appears to be armed with a pistol and another with a long metal crowbar-type implement.
One of the gang members uses a large stone that he throws through the glass in the back door, before reaching inside to open the lock.
One of the assailants gestures for the others to enter while one of them acts as a lookout in the garden.
Another clip shows one of the criminals rushing out of the house with three puppies in his arms.
The alarming incident occurred on Derwent Road West in Old Swan around 2.25pm Sunday, and police launched an investigation.
Posting a message in a social message, one man said: “Devastating news!

The attackers took off in a white VW Golf and a white Ford Focus heading for Green Lane.
None of the occupants were injured, but were “extremely shocked” by the ordeal.
Police said the VW Golf was later found abandoned on Cotswold Street, Kensington, and will be examined by a coroner.
The Ford Focus, which was found to have been stolen in an earlier incident, was reported to have crashed into a pickup truck on Sheil Road, Kensington, around 3.45pm and will also be examined by a coroner.
Yesterday, Merseyside police said they had arrested men in connection with the robbery.
