Rui Patricio

The Portuguese will be delighted to have started 2020/21 with a clean sheet.

He made a few routine stops as the Blades increased the pressure in the second half. 7

Willy boly

Boly was left a bit exposed at times when Traore, understandably given the right-back is not his proper position, struggled a bit in the second period.

He still played his role to keep the hosts at bay towards the end. 7

Conor Coady

He came to the fore after the break, organizing the baseline and making a few timely blocks.

Encouraged by his successful debut in England, he did everything he had to do well. 8

Romain saiss

What a performance from the Moroccan! He came up with a bullet header to make it 2-0 and came close to scoring a couple more times.

His run from center back to grab onto Jiménez’s pass, before forcing Ramsdale to make a rough save, was staggering.

He also cleared a McBurnie header off the line later. He was like a man possessed. Absolutely brilliant. Man of the match. 9

Adama Traore

He was caught several times defensively, but you can’t blame him too much for that.

He showed his prowess once he got further. 7

Joao moutinho

He cleverly chose Podence in preparation for the opener – a perfectly weighted pass.

It covered a lot of ground and also made some decent deliveries. 7

Leander dendoncker

He was willing to support the attackers where he could.

A good example of this was when he crossed the ball to Jiménez, whose shot was overturned by Ramsdale. Full of energy, as always. 7

Fernando Marcal

A solid and sensible debut from the Brazilian.

He didn’t avoid a tackle, he looked strong and was productive on the ball. Fitted to perfection. 8

Pedro Neto

Playing in a free role at times, Neto often found gaps and caused trouble for the Blades’ bottom line.

He got the header assist from Saiss and set up afterburners a couple of times to get the Wolves onto the field. 8

Raul jimenez

An excellent display of the Mexican. That ending was outrageous.

A fantastic counterattack was completed in superb style; not many could have. So confident and so skilled. 9

Daniel Podence

Like Neto, Podence was everywhere for the Wolves, especially in the first half.

The way he left Lundstram for dead before hitting Jiménez was a beautiful thing. He could be a great player this season. 8

Subs

Oskar Buur (by Neto, 69)

A decent outing for the Dane, making his Premier League bow. 7

Ruben Neves (by Podence, 76)

Some nice touches when the Wolves saw the win. 7
