The concept of seeing someone sitting on your couch watching television may seem strange, but Gogglebox has had the nation that has captivated us for years.
The popular Channel 4 series has provided viewers with the opportunity to escape the world for an hour each week since it first aired in March 2013.
And we can’t get enough of the often funny and sometimes controversial views of the show’s most beloved stars.
It has led a large number of sofa dwellers to stardom, including television favorite Scarlett Moffatt, the stylish duo Steph and Dom Parker, and the much-loved June and Leon Bernicoff, who sadly passed away in 2018.
Even with the current coronavirus pandemic, the show has been able to brighten viewers as bosses have installed stationary cameras in their living rooms to stop any contact with production personnel.
Millions tune in every week to watch Gogglebox stars watch our favorite shows, but what happens in their lives when the cameras are off?
Here are all the Gogglebox families and what they do once filming ends:
Ellie and Izzi
Sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner have been gracing our screens ever since they joined Gogglebox in 2015.
Leeds residents, who don’t live together, have brought laughter and controversy to the show over the years.
The older sister, Ellie, has talked about being a hairdresser and lives in her family’s home.
While the nail technician Izzi lives with her boyfriend Grant and is the mother of her son Bobby and Bessie Rose, 5, who was born in February this year.

In a major change last month, Ellie’s boyfriend briefly replaced Izzi with an episode after the country closed, but she returned the following week.
Despite Channel 4 assuring viewers that everyone on the show adheres to social distancing guidelines, the couple received a backlash for sitting in the same room.
“#GOGGLEBOX has said that Izzi and Elle are following the guidelines, but it cannot be because they are together in the same house. You cannot visit houses of friends or family no matter how long you stay apart,” said one angry viewer.
Izzi and Ellie Warner had previously been meeting the guidelines, with Ellie’s boyfriend appearing in her sister’s place.
Jenny and Lee
Jenny Newby and Lee Riley have been firm favorites on the show since they started in 2014.
Some have mistaken them for mother and child or even couples in the past, but they are actually best friends.
They became friends 21 years ago when I was home in a pub in Paull, East Yorkshire, and Lee was a regular.
Jenny is married to her husband Ray, who never appeared on the show, while Lee has been with partner Steve Mail for 26 years.
Best friends, filming from inside Jenny’s caravan in Hull, share a Twitter account that has almost 140,000 followers on Twitter.
Jenny and Lee moved in together and decided to pass the confinement as “friends without benefits”.
From their joint account, Jenny and Lee tweeted, “Well what can we say it’s Friday and it’s still in #Gogglebox?
“Jenny and I watch together while we’re both locked TOGETHER friends with no benefits. I can add an hour of laughter, stay safe, stay well #StayHomeSavesLives”
