Sarah Everard: Live updates as police continue search for ‘missing’ woman in Clapham

Police today continue their search for the missing woman, Sarah Everard, as her loved ones ask for help on social media.

Sarah, 33, disappeared after spending a night with friends on Wednesday, March 3.

Now the Met reportedly has teams searching Clapham Common and the surrounding areas.

They are asking locals to check the dash cameras and video doorbells since Wednesday night.

Family and friends are urging people to keep up the momentum on social media by sharing posts and asking them to come closer if they may have seen Sarah.

Sarah was last seen leaving her friend’s house in Clapham and her family says they are “increasingly concerned” for her.



Sarah disappeared Wednesday night after dropping off her friend in Clapham

Sarah, who is described as “beautiful, considerate and incredibly kind,” left her friend’s house through the back door on Leathwaite Road around 9pm.

The gate leads to the A205 South Circular, where he is believed to have started walking towards his home address in Brixton.

The Metropolitan Police believe he crossed Clapham Common and should have gotten home about 50 minutes later. It is unclear if he ever made it home.

In a statement given to the Met, Sarah’s family said: “With each passing day, we care more about Sarah.

“She is always in regular contact with us and her friends and it is totally out of place for her to disappear like this. We long to see her and want nothing more than to be found safe and sound.

“We are very grateful to the police and to all our friends for all that they are doing.

“We are desperate for news and if anyone knows anything about what has happened to them, we urge them to come forward and speak to the police. No data is too insignificant.”

The Met reportedly began searching the Clapham Common ponds on Saturday (March 6).

Sarah was last seen wearing a green rain jacket, navy blue pants with a white diamond pattern, and turquoise and orange sneakers. He was also thought to be wearing green headphones and a white beanie.

Specialist officers and London Search and Rescue volunteers are conducting searches in the Clapham Common area and the walking route between Clapham and Brixton.
