Our exclusive survey found that a staggering 96 percent (9,335 people) thought the couple should be stripped of their Duke and Duchess titles as a result of their new deal signed with the streaming giant. Only four percent (408 people) thought Meghan and Harry deserved to keep their degrees even though they were chasing business ventures, while 76 people said they didn’t know. A total of 9,819 readers participated in the online survey that ran between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM on Saturday.
One irate reader said: “I think the monarchy will be threatened if the Queen and Parliament do not act to sever official ties with this couple.”
“What they do in private as a family is none of our business. But being allowed to retain titles or occupy positions in the Commonwealth on the basis of anti-UK political positions, affiliations and activities is abhorrent.”
Another said: “It’s ironic that they didn’t want to do royalty work, but they are happy to change for being royalty.
“If they weren’t, they would never have gotten a contract from Netflix or anyone else.”
Another angry reader said: “At this rate, Harry should receive an ultimatum: give up your titles and step out of the line of succession or you will be stripped of it.
“Regardless of how you try to deny it, you wouldn’t have gotten deals like this without the name of the royal family.”
And another said: “Consequences. They have not yet learned that actions have consequences. Like children, but worse.”

The controversy erupted when Meghan and Harry made the explosive announcement that they had struck a long-term deal with Netflix to do a variety of shows.
Harry’s documentary about the Paralympic Games, Rising Phoenix, is currently available on Netflix.
And Meghan previously partnered with Disney to narrate Elephant, which was a documentary about the species for her Disney wilderness environment.
But now they plan to create content for millions of viewers around the world that “gives hope.”
The agreement covers documentaries, documentaries, feature films, scripted programs and children’s programming.
The couple said: “Our focus will be on creating content that is informative but also hopeful.
“Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: courage, resilience and the need for connection.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shed light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.
“As new parents, inspiring family programming is important to us as well, as is telling powerful stories through an easy-to-identify and truthful lens.”

A royal informant revealed that the Queen was unaware of the deal until her assistants informed her.
The source said: “His point of view is simple: Royals are not for sale and danger surrounds high-profile roles outside the institution itself.
“But knowing her grandson Harry like her, the queen will know that there would have been little chance of convincing Harry and Meghan not to.”
