But one Ibrox supporter had even more cause for joy after his incredible pre-match bet came true.
Not many fans would have predicted that Connor Goldson would score two goals given that he had only scored 10 goals in 119 appearances before Saturday’s game.
A Rangers fan backed the former Brighton center back to ensure that he would always be loved by fans with a double.
And he will be loved even more by this fan who bet £ 5 on him to score twice in the match at Celtic Park.
At odds of 300/1, the bet earned the supporter an incredible return of £ 1505, including his original stake.
He posted on Twitter: “I went out to spend some of the earnings Goldson earned from me yesterday. Yasss. What a result! What a day.”
Even coach Steven Gerrard was surprised by Goldson’s scoring performance when he said: “We know we have the quality and if we put the balls in the right areas, then it’s about having that hunger and desire to go and be a winner.

“I’m shocked and he’s shocked!
But Katic got all the credit last year for a fantastic header and rightly so.
