Ruthless thieves helped themselves with Christmas gifts in front of a terrified family after breaking into a Liverpool home.
The despicable assailants fled in a stolen Mercedes minivan after the horrific scenes at Woolton.
Police believe burglars deliberately attacked the home on Vale Road Sunday night.
The culprits forced entry into the house at around 7:30 p.m., despite the occupants being inside.
After serving themselves Christmas presents and a mobile phone, the thieves fled in the stolen Mercedes Viano (pictured) with the registration number KX14 MMO.
Merseyside police said the two adult occupants “were fortunately physically unharmed, but were extremely shocked by the incident.”
Police said the vehicle, stolen from Prescot on Oct. 26, was erratically driven to Ribble Road, where it was abandoned five minutes later.
The two robbers are believed to have fled on foot in the direction of Kings Drive.
Detectives are eager to hear from anyone who saw the truck being driven and ask anyone with dash cam footage to contact police.
Detective Inspector Jennie Beck said: “This was clearly an ordeal for the homeowners. It would have been incredibly scary for criminals to breach the security of your home.
“Although fortunately no one was injured, the property was stolen.

“We want to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident, including the criminals who arrived and left the scene on Vale Road and left Ribble Road on foot.
“Did you see a silver Mercedes pickup being driven erratically in the Woolton area between 7:30 PM and 7:45 PM on Sunday?
“Could it have captured dash cam or CCTV footage? If so, get in touch and we’ll do the rest.”
