SUBWAYr Hancock says infections in London are increasing dramatically.
“Working closely with the Mayor, with the leadership of the council of all parties and the national team, we have agreed together that London must move to the local Covid alert level ‘High’,” he says, thanking those involved for their “collaborative approach”.
“To Londoners and everyone who works in our great capital, I want to thank you for what you have done to suppress this virus once. We all have to do our part to bring the virus back under control.”
Essex and Elmbridge have also moved to Level 2, confirms the Secretary of Health, and all new Level 2 restrictions will go into effect at 12:01 a.m.
Confirm that Barrow-in-Furness, York, Erewash, Chesterfield, and Inverness will also be subject to Tier 2.
He says that households below Level 2 cannot meet indoors, even in hospitality settings, and that [their] number of trips when possible. “
