PSG will be crowned French champion after the decision to cancel the rest of the season due to the coronavirus.
French authorities banned all sporting events from taking place in the country until at least September, forcing the soccer season to an early conclusion.
That caused Ligue 1 bosses to be forced to act to decide the best way to end the campaign, as UEFA had almost every chance of canceling the seasons, with its declaration that any European qualifier next year should decide on “sports merit” based on the current campaign.
Last week, the Netherlands resolved their season, with no champions named, Ajax and AZ Alkmaar were level on points, and no relegation.
Now L’Equipe They report that PSG received the 2019/20 campaign title, despite 11 games remaining.
PSG have won the title in six of the past seven seasons, and were twelve points behind second place Marseille this season, also with a game in hand.

The news of the coronation of PSG will be taken favorably by Liverpool fans waiting to see how the Premier League season will end.
Liverpool’s gap over second-place rival Man City is more than double PSG’s lead, with 25 points, and with fewer games yet to play.
The decision of the French bosses gives the Premier League a precedent that they can follow if the English top flight cannot return.
