Buckingham Palace has released a picture of the couple with their baby, who was born in the exclusive Portland hospital in central London at 8:55 a.m. on February 9.
In the picture, the baby, the queen’s ninth great-grandson, is swathed in blue as his father holds him and squeezes his mother’s finger.

The newcomer was eleventh in line to the throne when he was born, but after news that the The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a second child, will go to position 12 when the baby arrives.
It is understood that the couple chose the name August in honor of Queen Victoria’s consort, Prince Albert, who had Augustus as his middle name, while Hawke is a Brooksbank surname.
Choosing Philip as a middle name pays homage to the Duke of Edinburgh, who is currently being treated at King Edward VII Hospital, having been admitted on Tuesday after feeling unwell.
In an additional post on her Instagram Stories, Eugenie, 30, referenced her father, the Duke of York, who turned 61 on Friday.
“On the weekend of his grandfather’s birthday, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little one,” he wrote. It is named after his great-grandfather and his two great-grandparents x5 “.
A regular Brooksbank teacher despite his mother being a princess, August’s arrival was good news for the royal family just two weeks before Harry and Meghan confirmed they would. not return as worker members.
“Many will be delighted to see a beautiful nod in the middle name to Beatrice’s grandfather, Prince Philip, who is currently in the hospital,” said Sky News royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills.
“The photographs are a nice break from royal tradition; no official photographer was brought in, but were taken by the couple’s midwife.
“The ninth great-grandson is certainly something to cheer on for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in what has been a difficult week, with the Duke feeling bad and sadness and discomfort surrounding the announcement about the real-life abandonment of the Sussexes.
Before revealing her name on Saturday, Eugenie had announced the birth of her son with a simple black and white photo of one of her hands on Instagram.
The Queen and Prince Philip said they were “delighted” with the newcomer, as were Eugenie’s parents, the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, and Brooksbank’s parents.
Eugenie announced her pregnancy in September, almost two years after she and Mr. Brooksbank were married in a ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in front of royal guests and celebrities, including Kate Moss, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore and Stephen Fry, in October 2018.
Mr Brooksbank is the European brand director of Casamigos Tequila, co-founded by the actor George Clooneywhile Eugenie is director of the Hauser & Wirth contemporary art gallery in London.
When Eugenie was born in 1990, her unusual name came as a surprise. Pronounced “Yoo-junnee”, it was inspired by one of Queen Victoria’s granddaughters, Victoria Eugenie de Battenberg, and the princess now goes by the nickname “Euge”.
