Apparently, Meghan is excited to organize the Christmas holidays at her house and cook, and the Royal Family “is not in the plan,” according to The Mirror.
An anonymous source told the newspaper: “Meghan is looking forward to celebrating her first Christmas in her new home with her mother.
“She is very excited and plans to do all the traditions that she grew up with as a child, including cooking.
“They have also invited David and Katherine to spend it with them.
“David had mentioned that Harry and Meghan were going to their house, but Meghan wants him home.
“They want to move on with their new lives. Christmas with Harry’s family is not in the plan.”
Canadian record producer David Foster, a year younger than his real father, Prince Charles, has been helping the royal couple start life in America.
And his wife Katherine McPhee, 36, was friends with Meghan in high school in Los Angeles.
Katherine has said that her husband Foster has a “really beautiful relationship” with Prince Harry, adding: “They are so cute, as father and son.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently living in their £ 11.2 million mansion in Santa Barbara after leaving the royal family this year.
A source also told Vanity Fair that Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, were “not ready” for a family reunion at Christmas in Britain.
They said, “At this stage, they are really enjoying their new life in California and their new home.
“There are currently no plans for them to return to the UK for Christmas.”
They added: “Let’s just say that while things are better between Harry and his brother, it’s not what it was, and I don’t think anyone is ready for a cozy family Christmas right now.”
The couple spent the holiday season last year with Meghan’s mother, Doria, and son Archie in Canada, which means it will be the second year in a row that they have missed the Royal Family Christmas.
Prince Harry recently hinted that he would not be returning to the UK in a Zoom interview with the Evening Standard, saying “it was all by video.”
He added: “It doesn’t matter where in the world we’ve been” as he spoke of staying in touch with British charities.
The claims come after excerpts from the explosive book Battle of Brothers were released today, including reports about the erosion of the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Author Robert Lacey believes their unique bond has been broken by the way the Sussexes conducted themselves with Megxit.
It was even claimed that William refused to have dinner with Harry and the Queen when they called the 36-year-old royalty to “Sandringham Summit” to discuss Megxit, and that he was so angry it was as if he had “undone” the Duke. from Sussex.
The Sandringham summit was organized for Monday, January 13, where Harry would finally speak to the Queen, Charles, William, and their helpers.
Author Lacey wrote: “The Queen had suggested that the family meet for lunch before her big pow-wow in the library that afternoon, but he declined his grandmother’s invitation.
“Obviously he would show up at 2 pm for the meeting, he said, but he just wanted to talk business.
“The prince himself has not confirmed the speculations of his friends that he was so furious with his younger brother that he would not be able to bear the hypocrisy of smiling at him during lunch.”
Other claims in the book include:
- The royal brother’s breakup began when Harry announced Megxit without consulting the Queen.
- Prince William was so angry at Harry’s behavior that it was as if he had “undone” it.
- Palace insiders thought Meghan’s ITV Africa interview was ‘miserably self-indulgent’
- The Sussexes were not “personified” when the Queen deliberately left the image of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex off the table during her Christmas speech.
- Harry and Meghan notified the palace with just ten minutes of their decision to resign from the Royal Family
- The couple’s refusal to reveal who Archie’s godparents were proved that they had an “exaggerated idea of their own importance.”
Sources say William was shocked by Harry’s decision to set aside his duty and service to the crown, and furious that the queen had been cornered.
The author, who wrote a biography of the queen in the 1970s titled Majesty, believes that there is time to heal the gap, but that the Palace “is not working in that direction.”
The Sun may reveal that William and Harry have barely spoken in recent months, other than wishing each other happy birthday.
The gap has only worsened when William and Kate have been left to carry out royal engagements during the virus pandemic.
Harry and Meghan have continued to make public announcements about their new life, including their multi-million pound Netflix deal.
In August, they revealed that they had obtained a mortgage on a nine-bed house in Montecito, California.
