Police release update on woman who fell from Queens Drive overpass

Police provided an update on the condition of a woman who fell from the Queens Drive overpass yesterday.

A large emergency service response was called in at the roundabout between County Road and Rice Lane shortly before 3 p.m. to report that a woman was found injured.

The busy road was closed during rush hours while they worked to help the woman, believed to be in her 20s.

It was reported at that time that the woman was found on the road, having fallen.

Today, officers have confirmed that the woman suffered injuries that are not believed to endanger her life.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “The woman suffered injuries to her back and legs that are not believed to be life-threatening.”
