The death of a 57-year-old man in North Wales is being investigated yesterday.

North Wales police were called to Brighton Road in Rhyl shortly after 7 p.m. last night (May 9) after reports of blood found outside a property.

A man, who has not yet been identified, was later found at a street address in the town of Denbighshire.

The emergency response also involved the Welsh Ambulance Service, with an air ambulance briefly assisting the scene.

It is currently believed that the air ambulance did not remove anyone from the scene.

The additional ambulance and police response remained in place for several hours, with some members of the emergency services staff seen in full PPE.

An eyewitness told North Wales Live that police were still present at the scene this morning (May 10) and that they noted that the forensic investigation was ongoing until the early hours.

The incident led to the temporary closure of the surrounding area, including Bath Street and Clwyd Street.

An eyewitness said he saw an evidence bag containing “a lot of blood” being removed from the property.

The witness, who lives in the local area, told us that “it is worrisome”, especially since the families are trapped inside due to the closure. However, they added that residents “expect it sometimes” because of the city’s reputation.
