Sadly, a man was killed after a collision on a main road through an East Riding village.
Humberside police have confirmed the man was killed after an accident on Staithes Road in Preston that closed the road for several hours Tuesday.
Police say a dark silver Vauxhall Astra passed on the wrong side of the road and collided with a motorcyclist on a blue Yamaha bike.
It was confirmed that the motorcyclist died at the scene. Police say the family has now learned of the death and is being supported by specially trained officers.

The incident occurred around 7.15 am on March 2 and caused a road closure of just over eight hours, reopening at 3.30 pm
A man has been arrested in connection with the accident on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
Humberside Police are asking that witnesses who have not yet spoken with them be contacted if they saw the collision itself, the vehicles before the collision, or anyone nearby who is behaving suspiciously.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: “Officers investigating a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Staithes Road, Preston, which occurred just before 7.15am this morning, Tuesday March 2, are asking that all witnesses who have not yet spoken to us, enter touch.

“It was reported that a dark silver Vauxhall Astra took the wrong side of the road and collided with a motorcyclist on a blue Yamaha.
“Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware of and is being supported by specially trained officers.
“A man has been arrested in connection with the collision, including on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody at this time.
“A road closure was maintained until 3.30 pm, now the road has been reopened.
