Pogba and Martial start: Manchester United lineup fans want to see against Leicester

Manchester United travel to Leicester City today, seeking to overtake the Foxes in the table.

The Reds’ away record is the strongest in the Premier League, with six wins out of six, meaning they remain the only team in the division undefeated in their travels.

However, they face a team from Leicester that recorded an impressive win over Tottenham Hotspur last time out and had a midweek break while United played in the Carabao Cup.

So does Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rotate after Wednesday’s game or does he keep his team as is? Here’s how fans think it should line up:

XI holder of Manchester United fans against Leicester

Fans want to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retain his first choice in all five backs despite a rotated defense keeping a clean sheet against Everton midweek.

That would mean David De Gea returns in goal to replace Dean Henderson after he rested for a 2-0 win at Goodison Park.

Aaron Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw return to the starting lineup, while Harry Maguire maintains his place as central defender.

That means the Reds would play the same defense that started in last weekend’s 6-2 home win over Leeds United.

Despite Scott McTominay’s three-minute double in that win, there is no place for the Scottish international in midfield.

McTominay celebrates his second

Manchester United faced Leeds in their first Premier League match in 16 years.

The Reds won 6-2 at Old Trafford, after being put on the road by two goals from Scott McTominay in the first three minutes. More punches from Bruno Fernandes, Victor Lindelof and Daniel James completed the hammering of Pennine’s cross rivals.

And after beating Everton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, United are now preparing to face Leicester on Boxing Day.

Instead, Paul Pogba gets the go-ahead to start thanks to his impressive form so far in December.

Along with Pogba are Fred and Bruno Fernandes.

That doesn’t mean there’s no place for Donny van de Beek, who played 67 minutes in the win over Everton in the middle of the week.

The Reds’ attack has been in sensational form in recent weeks and fans are eager to see Solskjaer start on the same front line that started against Sheffield United earlier this month.

That means Mason Greenwood starts on the right, with Marcus Rashford on the left and Anthony Martial down the middle.
