Michael Owen is backing Manchester United will clinch a win over Spurs, as they wait for Chelsea to win over Crystal Palace, Arsenal to beat Sheffield United and Manchester City to beat Leeds United 4-1.
The main matchup on matchday four is United vs Spurs and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against the man he succeeded at Old Trafford, José Mourinho.
The two bosses have been fighting for the past week and friction between managers can translate into a fierce battle on the field.
Former Liverpool and United striker Owen says that while he expects Mourinho’s team to be disciplined, he is backing United to get all three points.
“United have had their own problems in their first two games even though they managed to score the points last week in Brighton, and I think they could have enough to overcome it here.”
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from a string of disappointing results, losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on penalties earlier this week and drawing 3-3 with West Bromich Albion last weekend.
However, Owen predicts that Frank Lampard’s team can do the job against Crystal Palace, the team that beat United 3-1 in their first game of the season.
He added: “Manchester United’s conquerors Crystal Palace will quietly dream of their chances here again, but I am looking forward to Chelsea shooting and taking the points.”
Manchester City will face Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side seeking their third Premier League victory.
Owen expects City to score four goals against the Whites and win 4-1.
On the other hand, Arsenal face Sheffield United in the Emirates, and with the Blades yet to win a league game this season, Owen says he “sees nothing but a home win.”
The former England striker also predicts three easy points for his former Liverpool on his trip to Aston Villa.
