Friends and family of a woman who was found dead in a forest in Moston have paid tribute to her.

Julie Ainsley’s body was found in a wooded area near Williams Road following reports of a person on fire Saturday night (November 14).

Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Following the tragic incident, dozens of heartfelt tributes were paid to the 48-year-old mother and grandmother.

Aisley’s heartbroken daughter, Jade Riley, told the Manchester evening news how his mother “was always happy and made people laugh.”

Ms. Riley said, “Obviously he was struggling with his problems, but most of the time he kissed well.”

“He had five grandchildren and one on the way and he loved his family.”

Floral tributes were left at the scene in a wooded area off Williams Road.

Her ex-partner Steven Riley told the Manchester Evening News how she had sadly struggled with mental health issues for a long time.

“She was great, she was a mom and a grandmother,” he said.

“She lived in Moston all her life. We still got along very well and I loved her, she was the mother of my son.

“He was struggling with his mental health and it had gotten worse, he was just struggling with everyday life.”

Mrs. Ainsley leaves behind four children and five grandchildren. He also had another grandson on the way.

Dozens of her friends and family have flooded social media with tributes to her.

Olivia Sheridan said, “I can’t believe what I’m hearing Julie, you were so loved and such a lovely woman.”

“Thank you for all the memories throughout the years of growing up, I just hope you are at peace Julie. We all love you.”

Emergency services were called to reports of a person on fire shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday night.

When they arrived, they discovered the body of a woman.

The cause of death and the circumstances of the fire are not yet known, but police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

A police cordon was placed in the wooded area Saturday night as police examined the scene.

A GMP spokesperson said: “The fire service called the police around 6.15pm tonight (Saturday, November 14, 2020) to report a fire in a forest near Williams Road, Moston.

“The emergency services came and unfortunately found the body of a woman.

“There is a scene and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.”

A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire Service said: “We were called at 6.01pm to a person on fire in an area of ​​forest near Williams Road in Moston.

“Initial investigations suggest a fire in a wooded area that involved a female victim.

“Fire investigation, North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police are present.”
