The New York Police Department says it is trying to find a car that ran through a group of Black Lives Matter protesters blocking a street in Times Square Thursday night.
Video posted on social media showed the car shaking through the crowd with its horn honking as protesters shouted and pulled out of the way.

A video aware On Twitter by a user named DataInput, it showed a dark sedan crashing into a crowd of people who were standing in front of the vehicle with bikes.
Gwynne Hogan, a WNYC reporter, tweeted that the crowd seemed “nervous” but that “most people could jump out of the way.”
No one appeared to be seriously injured. The NYPD said on Twitter that the car was not a police vehicle.
The protesters had gathered after seven police officers involved in the suffocation death of Daniel Prude in Rochester, New York, were suspended. Prude, 41, who was black, died when life support was taken away on March 30, seven days after officers who found him running naked down the street put a hood over his head to prevent him from spitting and then They held it down for about two minutes until it stopped breathing.
A coroner described Prude’s death as a “homicide caused by” complications of suffocation in the context of physical restraint, “and it became the center of national attention this week when her family again demanded justice.
Despite the car incident, the protesters continued their march on Thursday night.
