The 19-year-old full-back, signed on loan from Angers with a £ 20m option to buy next summer, broke the deadlock on his debut with a sweet left-foot strike before Daniel Podence landed a second at Molineux.

It was a very encouraging display from the youngster, and Nuno, whose team is now third in the Premier League, said: “He is talented and I am very happy for him.

“He is 19 years old, he has come to another country and has been able to score in his first Premier League game and help the team.”

“He should be proud because he is a boy. He has played in the Premier League and he has played well.

“It’s a memorable day with the goal he scored and helped the team a lot. It was fantastic.

“He smiled because football is like that, sometimes you go in your first game and score. I’m very happy for him.”

Nuno, however, was also interested in pointing out that Ait-Nouri still has a lot to develop.

The Wolves boss also expressed his happiness to see Podence open his account for the season after being close in previous games, feeling that it will give him a huge confidence boost.

“Rayan has been working for two or three weeks and we see that he has many aspects of his game to improve, and we are working on that,” said Nuno.

“There are many things to improve, but he is a talented boy.

“Of course, I am very happy for Daniel as he has been playing very, very well.

“He had previous matches in which he had good chances and fantastic saves.

“Even in this game he had clear chances, but he scored and that’s important to him.

“He is a fantastic player who needs this confidence to finish the actions correctly.”

Meanwhile, skipper Conor Coady also praised Ait-Nouri’s display against the Eagles, adding: “He’s sharp, very sharp. He turns you around and has a lot of tricks.

“It is important that we try to help him adapt as quickly as possible.

“He is a young man who comes from a different country, he is a fantastic person and it is great to have him there.

“It is up to us, as a team and as friends, to make him adapt as quickly as possible.”
