James Corden has hinted that he will be leaving his late-night American television show to return to the UK after feeling homesick and missing his family during the pandemic.
The 42-year-old television star is married to television producer Julia Carey, 44, and they have three children together; Max, their nine-year-old son, and their daughters Carey, six, and Charlotte, three.
James and Julia left the UK for a life in the US in 2015 when the comedian landed the coveted role of host on The Late Late Show.

The Sun quotes James as saying, “I have a couple of years to fulfill this contract. Finishing the show will always be a more important family decision than a professional one.
“It will be people at home whom we miss very, very much, for whom we yearn.
“I also feel that my wife and I have three small children, and they are three small grandchildren that we have taken from the people.

“This probably feels particularly magnified now during the pandemic, but I have an overwhelming feeling that our family has walked to the beat of my drum for a long time.”
During his time hosting The Late Late Show, the series won a slew of awards thanks to James being in charge.
The show has won Emmy and Critics Choice Awards.
The series gained a lot of interest from the groundbreaking introduction to Carpool Karaoke, which saw James drive celebrities around town while singing his hits.
