Nicola Sturgeon could announce a relaxation of restrictions on outdoor gatherings in his latest coronavirus update this afternoon.
The Prime Minister is due to give a statement to the MSPs in the Scottish Parliament around 2:20 pm today.
She has already indicated a change in the rules about outdoor gatherings, which at the moment only allow two people from two different households to meet, could be coming.
On Friday, Sturgeon indicated “good progress” with the vaccination program and the drop in the number of infections could mean that “more normality is firmly on the horizon.”
He said he was “hopeful” that the Scottish government can make some “relatively minor, but I think important changes, in our ability to meet outdoors and also in how young people can interact with their friends outdoors.”
It comes as England’s medical director predicts there could be an increase in cases across the country later this year.
