A huge explosion has blown “glass and steel” everywhere in the city of Nashville, Tennessee, in the early hours of Christmas morning.

Multiple victims have been reported and police say there could be more devices.

Special operations have told reporters that they have received information that there may be additional devices in the vehicles.

Approximately 30 people were evacuated from nearby apartments around 5.30am today (11.30am GMT) and the bomb squad is on the scene, as well as police and firefighters.

Nashville Fire radio traffic reports that the blast caused “severe structural damage” and that glass and steel broke “everywhere.”

The Nashville Fire Department said in a statement: “There is an incident involving an explosion. This is an active scene.
