Cardi B had to be physically restrained on Saturday when she pleaded with police in Beverly Hills to release her husband, rapper Offset, who had been arrested on suspicion of pointing a gun at Trump supporters.
‘That’s my husband! Why are you pointing a gun at him? she yelled, as a friend held her back.
The rapper appeared on the scene in her new black Rolls Royce and watched as Offset argued with officers alongside her orange Jeep.
Offset, 28, is heard telling officers asking him to get away from the car: “I’m not going anywhere.”
His wife then yells, ‘Let me record this.’
As Offset is being carried away, she yells out loud, ‘No! This is crazy! My husband is not armed. My husband is not armed.
He is then seen being questioned by agents, away from his car.
28-year-old Cardi B arrived at the scene in Beverly Hills to protest to officers when her husband was taken into custody on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was refusing to get away from his orange Jeep.

Later, Offset was released without charge and Cardi B’s cousin Marcelo Almanzar, 20, was arrested and charged with firearms crimes.
Almanzar was later released several hours later, at 9:35 p.m., on a $ 35,000 bond.
The saga began when Offset was stopped by agents in Beverly Hills on Saturday afternoon and filmed the incident.
In a video shared on his Instagram Live, the rapper refused to get out of his car while being questioned by police, one of whom had a gun drawn.
That officer told Offset that there had been a report that he was ‘brandishing weapons at people’ while driving through the area. He responded that Trump supporters had hit his car with a flag.

Almanzar, 20, was released several hours after his custody in Beverly Hills.
Almanzar then left for the night in Los Angeles, without commenting on his arrest.

In a statement, the Beverly Hills Police Department told DailyMail.com that it was actually Almanzar who was arrested for the alleged crime.
The statement read: ‘Shortly after 5 pm, Beverly Hills police received information from a bystander of a subject who pointed a gun at him from a vehicle. The passerby provided a license plate to the vehicle and the vehicle was stopped by patrol units a short distance away.
‘After investigation at the scene, the passenger in the vehicle [Almanzar] He was arrested.’
Almanzar has now been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public. He was released Saturday night on $ 35,000 bond.
It’s unclear whether he was trying to intimidate or antagonize members of the pro-Trump rally. Cardi B is a prominent Joe Biden supporter.

The area was boarded up and a crowd formed, apparently eager to see the famous rapper.
During Offset’s live-streamed video, officers could be heard saying, ‘I’m a celebrity, do you know who I am? I am compensated for [hip-hop trio] Migos’.
He continued: ‘You told me to put my hands up, I’m not going to do that. There are 25,000 people [watching] on my live stream. They are going to sue you publicly.
Later, another of the policemen tried to reach Offset’s car and open the door from the inside.

‘I’m going to sue you the shit. Will you know who I am? he asked the officers.
The stream ended after the officer opened the door and Offset got out.
A separate video showed him handcuffed as a crowd of Trump supporters watched.
Hundreds of Trump supporters flocked to Beverly Hills to show their support for the president before the election.
Police have not confirmed whether anyone pointed a gun at supporters as Offset passed in his luxurious vehicle.

Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus in Lawrenceville, Georgia, has a long criminal record.
In 2013, he was briefly in custody for violating the probation he had received due to previous convictions for robbery and larceny.
In 2015, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of firearms. He was denied bail due to his previous criminal convictions.
While detained in a Georgia correctional facility, Offset was charged with assault and inciting a riot after attacking another inmate. He spent the next eight months behind bars.
